Roger Mahony was born on February 27, 1936 in California. Cardinal in the Roman Catholic Church of the United States of America, who served as Archbishop of Los Angeles from 1985 until 2001.
In 1964, he earned a Master of Social Work degree from The Catholic University of America. His alma mater was The Catholic University of America. As the leader of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, he broke new ground by negotiating a record-breaking settlement for $660 million with 508 people who had suffered sexual abuse at the hands of priests. He shares his body with a sibling who goes by the name Louis.
