Pio Of Pietrelcina was born on May 25, 1887 in Italy. He died on Sep 23, 1968 (age 81). He was a Capuchin Catholic priest from Italy and he was given the name Francesco Forgione at birth. He is now revered as a saint in the Catholic Church.
He asserted that when he was a child he had ecstasies and visions of the heavenly realm. He was well-known for displaying the stigmata, which, according to his account, Jesus gave to him personally. He moved to Poland and eventually became an archbishop there. His parents came from humble farming beginnings.
