Karl Leisner was born on February 28, 1915 in Germany. He died on Aug 12, 1945 (age 30). German clergyman who resisted the Nazi regime and stood in opposition to the Nazi party. For these reasons, he was imprisoned in the Dachau concentration camp.
In order to shield Christian youth organisations from Nazi interference, he frequently led them on camping vacations to the Netherlands and Belgium. While he was being held captive at Dachau, he went through the process of being ordained as a priest in secret. He was the eldest of his family’s five kids.
