James Alberione was born on April 4, 1884 in Italy. He died on Nov 26, 1971 (age 87). Priest of the Catholic Church in Italy who established the Society of St. Paul in 1914 and the Daughters of St. Paul the following year in 1915.
At the age of 16, he enrolled in a religious school in Alba. It was unusual for members of the Church to make use of contemporary technology to disseminate the message of the Gospel, but he became famous for doing so. His Italian family had been farmers for generations.
