About

Heber C. Kimball was born on June 14, 1801 in Sheldon, Vermont. He died on Jun 22, 1868 (age 67). In the early days of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was one of the original twelve apostles.

He was in his early 20s when he chose to satisfy his natural curiosity by listening to a sermon given by a member of The LDS Church. After he heard the gospel, he joined the church in a little under a year. Following the death of Joseph Smith and the subsequent migration of Mormons from Illinois, he assisted in the development of a plan for their relocation to Utah. In 1822, at the age of 21, he wed Vilate Murray. At the time, he was a young man.
