Angelo Sodano was born on November 23, 1927 in Italy. He died on May 27, 2022 (age 94). a member of the Roman Catholic Church who holds the position of Dean of the College of Cardinals and was installed in that role in 2005.
In the 1950s, he attended the Pontifical Gregorian University and earned a PhD in theology from that institution. Between the years 1990 and 2006, he served as Cardinal Secretary of State, putting him in command of the Holy See’s political and diplomatic endeavours throughout that time. Between the years 1948 and 1963, his father served as a delegate for the Christian Democrats in the Italian Parliament.
